"Working Well" - connecting adults living with the reality of type 1 diabetes
& those that live, work with, or support someone that does......
“Working Well” is a Melbourne-based community established in late May 2015 to connect adults living with the reality of type 1 diabetes & those that live, work with, or support someone that does.
You may have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes later in life, or you may have moved through life into adulthood with type 1. You may be a parent living the reality of type 1 diabetes as you care for children, teenagers and/or young adults. You may live or work with, or support an adult living with the reality of type 1. You may be a student, diabetes educator, health professional or allied health professional looking for further insight into living with the reality of type 1 diabetes as you support those who do.
We aim to draw some attention to the gaps that exist, collaborate & share information and enable connection & support with others, as we live with the reality of a chronic, auto-immune disease that is complex, not preventable and has no cure.
We run events that are interactive in nature with a focus on providing practical and relevant information & knowledge sharing. We also hold some "simply social" events and have some social media presence.
